John Armstrong has been focused on creating a history of his church, the Wesley United Methodist Church, after realizing that the last substantial one was completed in 1950. He He plans to share an overall view of some types of church histories have been or may be created and will focus primarily on the chronological format that he is presently doing. John is a native Texan, retired pharmacist and a resident of Greenville since 1982. John created and published an index to the four-volume Carson County history. He is a long-time member and contributor of the Hunt County Genealogy Society and the Hunt County Historical Commission. A 900,000+ topic and 250,000+ article index to the Greenville newspapers is one of his interests along with online cemetery compilations. Admission to the program is free for museum members: otherwise there is a general admission of $6 adults, $4 seniors/veterans/college students and $2 6-18 yr. olds.
