Join us as we celebrate the life of Audie Murphy, the most decorated combat soldier of WWII, as well as military veterans and those currently serving our country. Some of our featured speakers will include Martha Bolton, author of Bob Hope’s Wartime Correspondence with the G.I.s of WWII, Melody Miyamoto Walters, author of In Love & War: The WWII Courtship Letters of a Nisei Couple and Kevin Brodie, an actor, producer, writer and director who starred with Audie Murphy in Showdown and Battle at Bloody Beach.
Saturday morning’s events will be held at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center and the afternoon and evening events will move to the museum. All activities at the civic center will be free but a regular admission charge of $8 adults, $6 seniors/veterans/college students and $3 students will apply to enter the museum. Funding for this program is provided in part by the City of Greenville Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax Revenues. If your planning to stay overnight three of our hotels are offering discounts. Just mention the museum or Audie Day when calling to reserve.

Take a bit of time to stop by the Commemorative Air Force Barnstormer Historic Aircraft Fly-in that will be going on at Greenville Majors airport until 2pm.
One time admission fee to museum ($8 adults/$6 seniors/$3 6-18 yrs.
